Plants, flowers, shrubbery, fish, birds, dogs, cats, art, stone carvings, wooden furniture... it's all here on Hoàng Hoa Thám street in Hanoi, Vietnam! Hoàng Hoa Thám Street was named after Hoàng Hoa Thám, the leader of the Yên Thế Insurrection, holding out against French control in Northern Vietnam for 25 years. There are quite a few places named after him. This street is long, and runs through the middle of Hanoi city. But along a certain stretch of the road, close to where I live, is where a ton of hand-carved wooden furniture, fish tanks, birds in bird cages, paintings, stone carvings, polished stones, and many types of plants are being sold. It's a very interesting part of the city. The trees are tall and create a nice canopy over the street, keeping the temperatures cooler than the rest of the city. I hope you enjoyed the walking video. It was very straight forward, literally, as I walked straight instead of zig-zagging my way through side alleys. It's one of the few videos, if any, where I've filmed it in this way.
